A standardized credentialing protocol for EyeAssure members will benefit third party payers by eliminating the need fro them to individually credential doctors for each insurance contract. And, it will benefit EyeAssure embers by allowing them to be automatically accepted for contracts they choose through EyeAssure, without having to go through a credentialing process each time they sign up for a new plan.
The EyeAssure credentialing process will utilize data that members are already submitting to CAQH. But, it is important to distinguish that CAQH is not a credentialing services. It is simply an aggregator of data, which is then subject to review and verification by third party payers for credentialing purposes. Credentialing through EyeAssure will involve submitting doctors' information on file with CAQH to an accredited verification service that is contracted by EyeAssure and that verification will be acceptable to insurance plans with whom EyeAssure works.
Completion of the EyeAssure credentialing process and approval of credentialing status is required for membership in EyeAssure. Members have 3 months from the date of notification from EyeAssure to complete credentialing requirements.
Costs of the PCVS credentialing process are included in your membership fee, and will be billed to EyeAssure.
